Cardpool COVID-19 Update for 3/17

Updated 2 weeks ago by Brian Spring

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are implementing some new procedures to ensure the safety of our staff and customers.  Effective immediately, we will be suspending acceptance of new physical gift card sell requests.  As a result of this action, our system will automatically cancel any open transactions requiring a card to be mailed in and send a notification stating, “we are no longer accepting one of the merchants in your sale.”

If you have not mailed in your gift cards yet, please do not mail them in.  We will send a follow-up message when normal operations have resumed, and you will be able to resubmit your transaction.

We are maintaining minimal staff at our processing center, so if you have already mailed in your gift cards, your order will be processed.  However, we are quarantining all inbound mail at our facility for a minimum of one week.  After the quarantine expires, your transaction will be re-opened and processed as usual.

Physical gift card purchases (plastic and paper) will be processed unless conditions change.  The plastic gift cards will undergo additional sanitation before packaging.

All electronic gift card sales and purchases will process with no interruption.

Please bear with us as we continue to provide service through this global crisis.  If conditions change, either causing interruption to service or requiring the closure of the processing facility, we will send a follow-up message.

Please be safe and stay healthy.

Sincerely,
The Cardpool Team
